Never too early nor too late to follow your dreams

Emmanuel Mapalakanye best known by his stage name E-mag is an upcoming hip hop artist. He is very determined to serve, heal and entertain people through good music.

E-mag is an example to our fellow mates that everything is possible only if you are devoted to what you want in life. He’s not just an artist, he is also an innovative entrepreneur, event organiser and a producer “I’m an ambitious man from the township, who is willing to make a change through music”, he said.

He was born in Burgersfort; Limpopo and grew up in Pretoria East and later moved to Tembisa. Speaking of Tembisa E-mag performed for the crowd at the Street Food Market on Saturday; it’s a monthly event that always happening in Tembisa. This young rapper got the crowd crazy. 

“The performance was lit, the crowd was raging with me – it was mosh pit even though I got to perform one song”, so he said.

A 19 year old artist was inspired by the likes of T.I, Three 6 mafia, Rick Ross, Meek mill and Drake before he started rapping and making music. He’s currently working on his mixtape titled FRESH SINCE ‘98 it has 19 tracks in it. In this mixtape he shares all his experiences and dreams about his life and career.

E-mag believes that this mixtape is going to open doors for him because of the fact that people normal relate to his music. He collaborated with the likes of Kambridge$till, Kamowaves, SyperBeats and Static.

He prefers working on a Trap, alternative Rock/Flex Trap genre because he believes that it brings happiness, energy and style. He loves performing live more than recording songs, “because performing live puts me in a position where I get to interact with audience, not just listening to the music only.
