Mangope's 'Love Child'

Born in Zeerust and raised by her grandmother, a 46-year-old women and teacher of Soweto Matsepho Motshumi revealed news about her being the lost love child of Mangope.

Matsepho said her attempts to be recognised by the Bophuthatswana Bantustan leader led to noting but complete and absolute rejection and disappointment.

The nephew of Mangope, Bathoeng Mangope was not drawn to this claim and focused on giving Mangope who was buried on Saturday a dignified funeral. Matsepho said she never knew who her father was and she would always became sad when her cousins boasted about their fathers.

Her elder sister Nthabiseng said their late mother Stella Motshumi confided in their aunt saying that Mangope was the father of her last born child.
