Female Hip-hop Strange Space To Occupy

Limpopo born, Jozi raised female Hip-hop star, Sharon Makofane(21) aka Miss Shazzy (Stage name) is yet another self-proclaimed 'future female Hip-hop legend

in the making.'

Miss Shazzy originally from Burgersfort (Gariba)-Limpopo, Currently living in Tembisa (Gauteng) to pursue her career in music and also to further her studies in mechanical engineering at the Ekurhuleni west college.

"I started rapping at the age of (15) inspired and influenced by music from international hip-hop artists including the likes of TI, 50 cent, Ja Rule and Young Jeezy."- Miss Shazzy said

Miss Shazzy executes a flow that is up there with rappers who've been in the industry for years. Her style is characterized with bold, striking lines laid solid, complimented by a nice produced beat.

South Africa has a small number of females in the hip-hop industry, and Miss Shazzy is aiming to change the game and also up the level, by challenging her dream of owning her own recording label together with his brother (Herbs aka Jiga Man), which she believes owning a record label will close the gap of woman ownership in the music industry.

"I leaned everything about Hip-hop through my brother Herbs (Jiga man) my manager"- She said.

Miss Shazzy's biggest dream is to be known as a rapper, not just a female Hip-hop artist but someone who is passionate and love what they do.
