GETTING COLORED FOR CHARITY

No one is too old to chase rainbows, this was proven on the 8th of October 2016 when the community of Mahwelereng got an opportunity to raise funds for charity during their first annual colour run. The colour run started at the Mahwelereng stadium which was the starting and end point for the race. The funds of the day will go towards helping orphanage homes to build proper structures and where needed also help with food; this initiative was started by the Makinta Mokone in association with the SMILE organisation.

The day was packed with activities, after the happy 5 kilometres the runners were treated to a class of aerobics with the aerobics instructor Shenn encouraging healthy living. In the mist of it all the people of Bohlale Educational Centre which helps children get bursaries and internships were there and they had 100 bursaries which were available to give out at the Icollege which will cover for tuition on selected courses, for more information people can contact the founder Tebogo Tsebe on 0728039436

The MLK VW club also came, they also help crèches around Lephalale and Seshego, they help them as per need, because not all the crèches need the same things, The crew is known for their branded cars so they also support their local car washes which wash their cars. During the day they also took the kids available at the event for a spin around the stadium. Limsa which helps with learners who want to upgrade their matric results on a full time bases.

The day ended on a high note with local musicians performing on stage, while local vendors sold food to the people, all in all the event went well besides it starting later then the scheduled time. They hope to have another one in the near future in a different location said the CEO of Makinta,Esrom Masenya.
