NO VOTES FOR INCAPACITATED PARTIES: JACOB ZUMA

North West- The president reminded the crowd on the 29 of July 2016, that no other political party members went to exile, trained as soldiers to fight the apartheid regime. No other political party members except, those from the ANC went to jail for more than 20 years to bring democracy to South Africa.

Jacob Zuma is discouraging people not to vote for small parties, because they will do nothing for them as they were not in power. “The ANC’s task is to change and build the country and bring change to all of us.” He said. “vote ANC’, and make no mistake.” added Zuma. People are confused because, there are many political parties promising them many things, and somehow they become tempted forgetting that ANC has been through many pitfalls, meaning that other parties don’t know anything about struggle, Zuma told the residents of Brits.

He continued to say: “we are here today because we are reminding people, that it is time and we want people to vote ANC. We are reminding them that, there is no other organisation to vote for, okay!!!”

It sounds far-fetched, perhaps, but is inconvincible that some ANC voters are fed-up waiting for promises of service delivery to be made good, or that they feel insulted by the cynical pre-election rush to implement projects and employ temporary workers to fix roads and pavements, knowing that those projects and jobs will vanish like mist before the morning sun once the election is over.

It doesn’t necessarily mean everyone will vote for ANC. They might not be ready just yet to vote for a racist little girl who dances like a monkey, but they may be ready to reject the party that brought those years of corruption, AIDS deaths, semi-nude sushi slaves and blackouts.

Those who withhold their vote have taken half a step in the right direction. It is up to opposition parties to convince those voters to take their unused votes and invest them elsewhere. No one will be forced to vote for a certain political party; everyone will choose the best party that suits them.
