O waka DJ

“O ska Bhora Moreki” hit-maker, King Monada, recently shot a music video for his latest single titled “O waka DJ”. The entire video was shot at Village Lifestyle in Bolebedu Relela. He chose this location because he wanted to show another side of Limpopo. Many people perceive Limpopo as a rural province, boring and old fashioned without any civilized clubs and decent hang out joints. The video will definitely clear these negative perceptions.

The popular actor Patrick Seleka, who plays Kat in the local SABC 1 soapie, Skeem Saam was featured in the music video, as the protagonist portraying the “DJ” in reference to the title of the song, “O waka DJ”. King Monada’s message of the song is simply stating that his DJ (Patrick Seleka Jr) is the best in the entertainment industry - it is Monada’s opinion and expression in the song.

Khutso Steven Kgale (25) popularly known as King Monada, was born and raised at a village called Mokgolobotho, just outside Tzaneen in Limpopo. He started as a singer and music producer in 2007. He later got his big break in 2016 when he released his smash hit single titled “O ska Bhora Moreki”, which became a national anthem and was received well on radio stations. Furthermore, he was nominated at the 2016 South African Music Awards, song of the year.

The “O waka DJ” music video is to be released later on this year, However the date is yet to be confirmed. The video was shot on Saturday, 14th of October 2017 and I must say “this man is pure talent”.
