SIP & REPEAT – ITS ABOUT MUSIC, DRINKS & FASHION

The most loved and preferred venue in Pretoria that is where the Sip & Repeat Weekends organiser decided to host his first event at Fountain Valley on 27 August. On a very chilled and warn Sunday afternoon people were gathered and relaxed under the shelter listening to soft music in the back ground while drinking beer and cocktails, eating appetizing food and grilled meat at a very affordable price. Children are also allowed hence there are swinging machines.

Sip & Repeat is about music – promoting young upcoming artists and fashion shows; different designers with different styles were showcasing their designs. Different audiences were there in different aspects as well; some were fashion designer students who were there to gain experience while some where there just to see fashion designs and entertainment. “I’m here for the fashion show and I’m expecting to see the models and the dresses they are going to be showcasing” said Nikiwe Baleni; the Manager at Correctional service.

This super splendiferous event was organised by Tendai Mapanga best known as Greffen Punkk a multi-dimensional and multi-skilled businessman. He’s also a music producer, fine artist and events’ planner. “He’s very intimate with fashion and familiar with events, he’s passionate when coming to music,” said Sean Petersen the event’s MC.

The soulful live performances from Lionel Siwele who entertained the audience with his peaceful Afro jazz music imitating the legendary Ringo Madligozi followed by Abongile Ntulini, DiBBa and Bessie who were singing Hip Pop.

However, the audience was mostly focused on the designs designed by Imibongo Creations was the first to showcase theire African Print dresses that got the crowd going crazy, then followed Mongi Designers their dresses are good for spring and summer; they are colourful, short and gorgeous, KMC their dresses are good to wear when going to events like The Metros, while Blaqflame and Blackthot they are passionate with the princess style dresses.

“I love fashion and fashion is the way to professionalism and excitement, I enjoyed today’s show it was awesome. I’m expecting more of this next month,” said Goodness Ngomane; one of the models.
